'Check in and Catch Up' as Ysgol Eirias gets back to class

Ysgol Eirias in Colwyn Bay is one of the many local schools which are preparing to return back on Monday 29th June as part of Welsh Government's "Check in, catch up and prepare for September" strategy.

To introduce school children to a very different way of working ahead of a complete return at the start of the next school year in the Autumn, pupils and parents should expect some changes to how the school day will differ.

These will include changes to the timetable and new routines in the classroom and in communal areas to protect pupils and teaching staff. Class sizes will be impacted along with the times of day that pupils will arrive and leave school premises.

It is clear that these adjustments will take some time for pupils to adjust to and Ysgol Eirias have provided an online guide and video to help parents understand what these will mean and how the phased return will be implemented.

The school has also asked parents to confirm whether or not they will be sending their child to the school on the 29th.
