Colwyn Bay manager Craig Hogg has completed a busy week by making his fourth new signing of the transfer window  in the versatile Cai Owen from Rhyl.

Cai progressed through the Bangor City Academy, making his senior debut at 16 under Neville Powell, before making the move to Llandudno in June 2018.

He joined Rhyl on loan from Llandudno in August 2018 and made his competitive debut against Caernarfon Town before making a permanent move in mid-October.

He made 46 appearances for them, scoring five goals, and was named Supporters Player of the Year last season.

Craig Hogg commented: "It is another good signing for the club and we are pleased Cai has today agreed to join us.

"We thank Rhyl for their co-operation in the transfer to us.

"Cai is 21-years-old and lives in Deniolen, near Llanberis, and joins us from Rhyl where his performances have been very good over the last two seasons.

"He has been excellent down their right flank, but  is a very versatile player and can operate in a number of positions.

"Along with the other players we have brought in this week, Cai has great quality on the ball and is very composed when in possession.

"He is another North Wales lad joining us with a lot of desire and a great work ethic, which is a hugely important trait that we look for in players when joining us at Colwyn Bay."

Hoggy added: "The new players have settled in well to the group this week and everyone has trained well.

"We have a very big game against a good Llanrhaeadr side this week and it is important that the lads continue with the good performances we've had this season with a view to getting as many points as we can."
