When the pupils of Ysgol Deganwy return to school after the holidays they will find that their Music Department resources have been given a welcome boost thanks to a donation from a popular local Rotarian.
Just before the school broke for holidays, Llandudno Rotary President Rosalind Hopewell attended the school’s afternoon music concert and presented a £250 cheque to music teacher Mrs. Haf Williams.
This gift will this will enable the school to maintain existing equipment and offer more instruments to the children, who are keen to pick up skills in all parts of the orchestra.
The donation has been made possible thanks to the 2019 Bob Mills Award. Bob was a much loved and proud Rotarian who passed away in 2017.
His family endowed Rotary with a bequest that enables Llandudno Rotary to make an award each year in his memory to some person or organisation linked to Bob’s lifetime love of music.
