Colwyn Bay manager Craig Hogg is relishing tomorrow's Welsh Cup Round Four tie against Cymru Premier side Cardiff Metropolitan University at the 4 Crosses Arena.
The club are expecting a big crowd for the last 16 encounter, which will also be shown live on S4C’s Sgorio.
“There’s been a lot of attention surrounding the game,” Craig said.
“But the most important thing is that we focus our attention on the game itself and we will be doing everything we can to cause an upset.”
Managed by former Wales international Christian Edwards, Cardiff Met are sixth in the Cymru Premier following a 1-0 win at Barry Town United on Tuesday evening.
Barry were the side The Archers beat in the last round to set up a first ever meeting with the Bay.
“Cardiff Met have done so well over the years and we can take a lot from how well they’ve performed over the years and the success they’ve had there,” Hoggy added.
“They are one of the shining examples of what can be achieved in time.
“I hold their manager Dr Christian Edwards in high regard and have a lot of respect for the job he’s done there.”
Met won through to the semi-finals of the Welsh Cup in 2020 and had been drawn to play Caernarfon Town before the competition was cancelled due to the pandemic.
The Bay have a couple of injury concerns ahead of the game, but definitely missing will be midfielder Tom Creamer, who suffered a serious ankle injury against Llandudno.
We’ve had a few conversations and he seems to be ok,” the manager added.
“Were it not for the injury he would have been involved against Cardiff Met and in front of the TV cameras it would have been a game he would have thrived in.”

The clubhouse bar will be open from 11:30am and admission prices are: Adults £8, students £4, Under-16s: £3, Under-12s: £2.
