Gloucestershire Constabulary are searching for a 47-year-old man who has been reported missing as there are concerns for his welfare.

James did not go to work yesterday, which is very out of character, and it is instead believed that he drove to Betws-y-Coed.

Enquiries are taking place to locate James and his van, a white Vauxhall Combo with the registration WP55VXR, and we're keen to hear from anyone who has seen the vehicle parked.

James is an avid mountain climber and it is understood his favourite route to climb is Tryfan in the Ogwen Valley in Eryri.

Anyone who was in the area yesterday or today (Tuesday 28 October) and has seen James or his vehicle is asked to contact police.

It is believed he was last seen when he left work on Sunday night (26 October).

James is described as being 6ft 3ins in height, is of a medium build, has a shaved head and he has a couple of front teeth missing. He normally wears black waterproof trousers and glasses.

Anyone who has seen James or has any information on his whereabouts is asked to call Police on 101 and quote incident 96 of 27 October. If you can see him at the time of calling, dial 999 and ask for police.
