Llandudno Coastguard was tasked with another busy weekend after a number of local incidents. This included reports of an injured person on the beach in Rhos-on-Sea.

"We were tasked at 22:45 last night to assist the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust with an injured person on the beach at Rhos on Sea.

"Already in attendance was a solo paramedic on a rapid response vehicle who was awaiting the arrival of an ambulance.

"Whilst waiting for the ambulance, we assisted the paramedic in providing casualty care, and once the ambulance was on scene, assisted with carrying the casualty off the beach and to the ambulance."

Further information on the nature of the injury and the condition of the person is not known at this stage.

Last week, the emergency services spoke about the pressure on local services due to a high influx of holidaymakers into the North Wales area as well as the impact had following many months responding to Covid-19 emergency.
