All you need to know about local services during lockdown

Conwy County Borough Council have just updated Bayside on what is happening to local services during the two week lockdown which begins, this Friday from 6pm.

Household Recycling Centres

Household Recycling Centres will be closed from Saturday 24th October to Sunday 8th November, in line with Welsh Government guidelines.

The council have confirmed that there is no change to your household recycling and waste collections.

Leisure Centres

Following Welsh Government instruction, all leisure centres close at 18.00 on Friday 23rd October 2020 until Monday 9th November 2020. For more information on this closure and details of what will happen to existing memberships please visit the council's FAQ page. Stay safe, Stay active.

Libraries

These will close on Friday to adhere to the new fire break rules. Make sure you have plenty to read by booking a 'Call and Collect' visit or browsing session this week. Telephone library services on 01492 576139 or visit www.conwy.gov.uk/libraries

Tourist Information Centres

Llandudno and Conwy Tourist Information Centres will close at 4.30pm on Friday 23rd November and will re-open on Monday 9 November. Services are still available via e-mail at llandudnotic@conwy.gov.uk or conwytic@conwy.gov.uk and online at www.visitconwy.org.uk

Council's approach to the 'circuit-breaker'

CCBC are working closely with Public Health Wales, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and the emergency services to ensure that appropriate and proportionate arrangements are in place.

Bayside Radio will be providing regular updates during the lockdown on 87.7FM in the Bay of Colwyn area and across the whole of the county and North West Wales on DAB Digital Radio.

The main updates of the day can be found in Good Morning Colwyn Bay, weekdays from 8am and in bulletins across the daytime. 

You can also receive local updates relating your community in different areas of North Wales from Sound Radio serving the Abergele and Rhyl areas, Tudno FM in Llandudno and Mon FM on Anglesey.
