Westbound traffic on the A55 is building near to Llanddulas as North Wales Police and emergency services respond to an incident.
The accident which is thought to involve a motorcyclist, has meant that the Expressway from Junction 23 to Junction 22 has now closed resulting in heavy tailbacks.
Traffic Wales has asked motorists to seek alternative routes and avoid the area if at all possible.
