Colwyn BID, the organisation set up to support the business community in the Bay of Colwyn has made a big contribution towards saving lives in our community.
In conjunction with the charity Achub Calon y Dyffryn, BID has delivered 8 new diffibrillators to key locations in the area. A defibrillator delivers a dose of electric current to the heart and can make the difference between life and death in situations where people are suddenly taken ill brought on by a heart attack.
The cabinets are equipped with security codes to prevent vandalism and misuse. Members of the public can very quickly obtain codes from the establishment hosting the difib or by calling 999.
