Rydal Penrhos School is once again playing host to a Christmas fund raising event in the town.

Their annual Public Carol Service will take place tomorrow, Thursday, December 13th at St John’s Church from 7pm, and there will be a retiring collection which will be donated to the RNLI.

During the event there will be performances from the Rydal Penrhos Choir, who will be singing a host of festive hymns to get those attending into the Christmas spirit under the guidance of Director of Music Pete Williams.

The school’s Community Choir will also be on hand to lend their support, and Rydal Penrhos’ Orchestra are also scheduled to appear at the event, which has raised thousands for the organisation over a number of years.

This is the latest in a long line of fundraising drives for the RNLI put on by the school, which also include a bag packing day at Morrisons in Colwyn Bay.

There will be coffee and mince pies for guests in the church room once the service has concluded.

Mr Williams, said: “Our annual Carol Service in aid of the RNLI is always something that each member of the Rydal Penrhos community really looks forward to, and we are hoping for another big turnout to raise as much as we can for a very worthy cause".
