"Wear your seatbelts" is the message from North Wales Police today as it was reported that the force has issued fines to many drivers in the East of the region, particularly over the past few days.
"We robustly enforce this as ultimately it will save your life, this is known as one of the #Fatal5 offences that we deal with.
"You can face penalty notices, court costs and fines if you find yourself on the wrong end of one of our Traffic Offence Officers".
It was reported that one male recently had a ticket just before weeks before this latest offence.
Another male who was stopped didn’t have a licence, insurance, was disqualified from driving and had failed to appear at court. He was arrested and placed before the courts this morning for other motoring offences… all from not wearing a seatbelt. His vehicle was also seized.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police added: "We aim to make the roads safer, only you can help with that by buckling up before each journey. Please belt up before each journey no matter how short it could save your life."
