The A470 has been closed in both directions near Llanrwst following an early morning incident involving an overturned lorry.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Maenan, with Bridge Street in Llanrwst also reported to be shut as crews deal with the aftermath. Traffic is being diverted locally, and drivers are being urged to allow extra time for their journeys.
In a statement, Traffic Wales said: “A470 Both directions Llanrwst - A55 J19 Glan Conwy Incident at Maenan Overturned vehicle. Road closed. Local diversions in place. Allow extra travel time.”
A further update confirmed the road near Plas Maenan will remain closed while recovery work takes place. The overturned lorry is expected to take some time to remove, with specialist equipment likely needed at the scene.
Traffic Wales is managing the incident, and the road will reopen once the vehicle has been safely recovered and the area cleared.
Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes and monitor updates before travelling.
