Police are urging residents across Anglesey to remain vigilant following a spate of burglaries reported over the weekend.

Officers are investigating four separate incidents that took place on Sunday, April 12, in the areas of Amlwch, Benllech and Pentraeth.

North Wales Police say enquiries are ongoing and are now appealing for anyone who may have seen suspicious activity to come forward.

Anglesey District Support Sergeant Matt Bentley said officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the affected areas on Sunday afternoon and may have witnessed unusual behaviour or captured footage on CCTV, dashcams or doorbell cameras.

He also urged residents to take simple but effective steps to protect their homes.

“I would encourage residents to take precautions to improve their home security by keeping windows and doors locked, leaving a light on in the evenings, and keeping valuable items out of sight,” he said.

“Please share this advice with elderly residents or neighbours who are not on social media.”

Police say community awareness will be key as investigations continue, with officers increasing reassurance patrols in the affected areas.

Anyone with information that could assist enquiries is asked to contact North Wales Police via their website or by calling 101, quoting reference 26000288556.
