Hot weather window warning after Old Colwyn burglary

Officers have asked local residents to be on their guard during the hot weather after a burglary occurred in Old Colwyn on Tuesday.

The incident which happened at a family home on Llanellian Road was helped by keeping windows open.

David Williams from North Wales Police said: "Just a gentle reminder about leaving unattended doors and windows open during this warm spell.  

"Unfortunately there was a burglary yesterday in the Llanelian Road area and whilst the family were in the back garden, someone sneaked in through an open front window."
