March 30, 2019 - 2433 views

Last night people packed into Rhos-on-Sea to enjoy the launch of the first set of releases from Welsh artist Sera.

Pie Records, which has a great reputation for giving many local bands and singers a platform to play, hosted the launch along with support from Eve Goodman.

Sera, whose full name is Sarah Louise Sarnacki Owen is a bilingual folk singer-songwriter from North Wales with Polish heritage. Her music has received rave reviews and has been featured regularly on BBC Radio Wales and Radio Cymru.

The gig featured two new tracks, the first in a series of releases planned for 2019.

Y Gost is a haunting performance blending alternative folk, classical and pop influences, while Cysgod y Gell has more of a folk/Americana vibe, reciting the story of her grandfather, a Polish prisoner of war who settled in Wales.

The tracks on CEG Records are produced by Andi Bonsai, featuring the violin of Nico Crutwell-Jones. Music fans can download the music from iTunes and Spotify.
