A world class culinary competition is heading to North Wales next month.

Held every February, the Welsh International Culinary Championships is a mouth-watering four-day showcase of world class chefs from across the UK and the world.

Hosted by Coleg Llandrillo at its Rhos-on-Sea Campus from 26th February until 1st March 2019, the championships are designed to celebrate the nation's culinary skills and rich variety of quality food. The popular event is packed with exciting competitions for learner, junior and senior chefs and waiting staff.

Other major attractions include the Junior Chef of Wales Final, the National Chef of Wales final and a Cake Cymru show for sugarcraft and cake decorating competitors.

Another forthcoming highlight is the prestigious Battle for the Dragon contest. This year, teams from Wales, Belgium and Austria will do battle in the heat of the kitchen over three days, with each challenged to cook a three-course meal under the watchful eyes of a panel of international judges.

The championships are organised by the Culinary Association of Wales with sponsorship from the Welsh Government. Teams from Wales will compete on Tuesday 26th February, Belgium on the 27th and Austria on the 28th.For more details visit their special page.
