Coleg Llandrillo's Heath and Social Care students have been taking time out from their studies to organise and collect donations for several local charities at this festive time.

Much-needed donations collected by the L3 Health and Social Care groups at the college's Rhos-on-Sea campus, have been dropped off at local food banks, as well as homeless charities Hope Restored, and Sanctuary Trust Cymru.

As well as food, the student groups have been collecting toiletries and sanitary products for the charities.

They have also been saving up empty crisp packets for the Ironman Charity, which are making the packets into waterproof sleeping bag liners for people having to sleep outdoors.

Brenda, who is the founder of the Hope Restored charity, said: "Thank you to the students. It is a wonderful gesture and much appreciated; thank you for thinking of us.

"We are having to do things differently this year as we are only able to have limited numbers on the premises. Currently we have a lot of elderly and vulnerable people on our list who would otherwise go without. Thank you again."
