Roadworks start on A547 in Mochdre from Friday

July 30, 2020 - 1344 views

Roadworks on the A547 on Conway Road in Mochdre will begin tomorrow (31st July) through to 5th August.

Conwy County Borough Council have prioritised the road to prepare for road surface dressing. This will involve the application of bitumen tar, stone chippings and rollering to finalise the new surface.

Drivers are being asked to slow down whilst travelling on the road to avoid the risk of windscreen and paint chip damage whilst the surface settles and excess stones are swept from the road.

The road will not be closed for this work. Traffic will be managed by Stop/Go boards from the junction of Glan-y-Wern Road to Dinerth Road, with a convoy vehicle escorting traffic through the sites.

It is recommended that residents park their vehicle elsewhere during this time, to avoid damage from stones. Contractor will comply with social distancing measures and you are being reminded to keep your distance from the workers at all times.
