North Wales rugby side RGC takes on Carmathen Quins away this Saturday at 2.30pm.

One point separates the teams, with the hosts sitting in 11th place and RGC in 12th.

It will be another tough away challenge with Carmarthen coming off the back of a 56-17 win against Aberavon last weekend, and they have 3 wins in the last 5 games after finding some form.

Last November RGC defeated Quins 38-12 at Stadiwm CSM with tries from Christian Hone, Dafydd Williams, Patrick Nelson, Sam Earl-Jones and Ollie Wynn. RGC’s last visit to Athletic Park, ended with a 32-31 point win for Carmarthen in April 2023.

RGC Head Coach Ceri Jones is looking for a positive reaction from the players after the loss to Neath at home last Saturday.

“After a very poor result which has hurt us all, we aim to bounce back on the road against at Carmarthen. a team that had a fantastic result last week against Aberavon.

"We have had two tough sessions already this week and some difficult team meetings in order to get ourselves back to the level of performance that we can be proud of we are looking forward to getting back out onto the pitch as we know this is the only way to fix the wrongs of last week.

"I would ask you to have patience with what is a very young group and trust that we are all pulling together to get ourselves back to winning ways.”
