Two goals from Craig Lindfield enabled Colwyn Bay come from behind to secure a hard-earned 2-1 victory away to bottom of the table Llay Welfare.
They were made to battle all the way by a determined home side, but managed to come away with their tenth league win in a row.
The Seagulls suffered an early shock when they were caught out by a ball over the top and home striker Jonathan Collo was first to reach it and lob advancing Rhys Williams to give Llay an eighth minute lead.
Colwyn Bay, however, were level on 15 minutes when their second corner of the game was headed out to Linny who fired a shot back into the net from just inside the area.
Jamie Cumming shot just wide from the edge of the area and later wasted a big chance when he headed over the bar from six yards.
Sol Forde almost put Bay ahead when he got his toe to the ball ahead of the keeper and a defender, but saw it roll agonisingly wide.
Colwyn Bay did finally get themselves in front on 59 minutes when Craig Lindfield volleyed home from a Sam Hart corner on 59 minutes for his second goal of the game.
Home keeper Michael Platt made a fine save to prevent Dan Atkins adding a third Bay goal, but Llay stayed in the game and Sol Forde did well to head a goalbound effort away for a corner and maintain Bay’s precariously narrow lead.
