Police teams in West Conwy have reassured local people that high visibility patrols have been stepped up in the area following reports of a male behaving "suspiciously" in the Rhos-on-Sea and Llandudno areas.

Whilst officers stressed that there were no reports of any offences bring committed, local people on social media have reported instances of troubling behaviour from individuals or individuals keen to conceal their identity.

Police reported at the end of January that they were looking for a male dressed in black who had his face concealed and was reported following a female in Rhos-on-Sea. It is not known if these incidents are connected.

Commenting on the recent action taken, North Wales Police said; "Over the last weekend, officers have been patrolling the Rhos-On-Sea and Llandudno areas in both hi-visibility and plain clothes, in vehicles and extensively on foot, following reports of a male behaving suspiciously."

"We would urge people to be mindful of these reports and to report any activity to us directly; use 999 in an emergency, otherwise use the chat function on the NWP website, call 101 or use Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

"We will continue to patrol the area in an attempt to identify this person and dissuade any further suspicious behaviour."
