North Wales is getting set for another bumper bank holiday with predictions of sunshine across the weekend after a disappointing and overcast end to the week.

As roads into and out of the region get busier for the early May bank holiday and the Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza, the Met Office say that although the sunshine is expected on both days, temperatures will remain on the chilly side unlike this time last year.

Saturday is expected to reach highs of between 10 and 11 degrees celcius with wall-to-wall sunshine and a moderate breeze.

Sunny spells are expected on Sunday with similar temperatures but the risk of light cloud throughout the day.

The good weather is expected to carry into Monday with light cloud cover across Conwy and slightly warmer temperatures.

It will remain colder next week with a high risk of rain before the sunshine returns on the weekend of Prom Xtra and the Bryn-y-Maen Exhibition on Saturday May 11th.

Temperatures will also be heading upwards with temperatures predicted ti reach between 17 and 19 degrees celcius over that very busy weekend.
