If you have been thinking about starting a career as an Teaching Assistant in 2021, Coleg Llandrillo are offering a unique opportunity to start the process.
Starting in February they will be providing a free Introductory Teaching Assistant course which is available via their campus' in Rhos on Sea and in Prestatyn. No previous experience is needed.
The course helps students develop the skills needed to work in a primary classroom.
Learners will spend 2 days per week learning in a community venue, and 1 additional day per week of work experience. Tutors will help students arrange their placements. Hours are child-friendly, totalling less than 16 hours per week.
The course is free, but students must complete a DBS check with the College which (currently) costs £44.
