Colwyn Bay looks forward to half term days of sunshine

The Bay of Colwyn and the North Wales coast is in for a school holiday half terms treat as weathermen predict dry and sunny weather until late next week.

After downpours, sea mist and showers put paid to an expected sunny afternoon to concide with Wales' defeat of England in the 6 Nations Rugby, the outlook for the next few days is good.

Temperatures today (Sunday) through to Wednesday are expected to reach as much as 17 degrees celcius with light winds expected in most parts. Light drizzle and mist is expected by Thursday with temperatures expected to fall back down to between 11 and 13 degrees celcius.

Traffic into North Wales was particularly heavy on Friday evening as vistitors headed down into the area to enjoy the expected mini 'heatwave' over the weekend and into next week.
