A place in the quarter-finals of the JD Welsh Cup awaits the winners when Barry Town United come to the 4 Crosss Arena on Saturday (December 9th, 2pm kick-off, weather permitting).
If they win, it would be the second time in three seasons that the Seagulls will have reached the last eight , but they will need to show all the character and desire they did in getting through the last round on penalties away to Newtown.
Barry have already won at Colwyn Bay in the league this season (1-0 in October) and will want to bounce back from a 7-0 defeat at Connah’s Quay last week.
Kayne McLaggon is a real goal threat for them and the Bay will have to defend better than they did in the second half when losing 4-2 in the league at Newtown last Saturday and will be hoping that Udi Akpan can continue a run that has seen him score in each of Bay’s last four league outings.
