Coleg Llandrillo's Rhos-on-Sea campus recently saw the major relaunch of its refurbished Bistro Restaurant, Orme View Restaurant Conference Centre and Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy commercial salons.
During the showcase event, visitors were able to view the conference facilities, sample gourmet food and non-alcoholic cocktails, witness flambé and coffee-skills demonstrations and watch the college's award-winning hair and beauty students in action!
The college has completely rebranded the departmental areas as well as investing in a new online booking system and sound system in the Orme View Restaurant. Customer feedback has resulted in new service styles being introduced within the restaurant, where busy patrons are able to now enjoy a 2-course meal within one hour. The Orme View Restaurant has an international reputation for excellence, and its staff and students have won numerous national and international awards.
There were live cookery demonstrations by staff and students, including medal-winning patisserie students demonstrating a range of desserts with a chance to sample. There were also opportunities for patrons to sign up to the new Orme View Restaurant loyalty club card scheme.
In the college's Heartspace area, amongst an array of new promotional stands and rebranded materials, hairdressing and beauty therapy salon staff and students gave demonstrations on how to professionally curl and style hair, as well as giving tips on affixing gel nails.
The hairdressing salons provide a relaxing setting for pampering. Hairdressing treatments for men and women range from cut and style and barbering to special occasion hair for parties. Beauty treatments include facials, manicure, pedicure, make-up, waxing and massages.
All of the college's commercial operations, including restaurants and salons, are open to the general public.
