One of the most eagerly anticipated car event on the year took place yesterday on the Promenade in Rhos-on-Sea and it didn't disappoint.

Hundreds of eager spectators joined dozens of vintage and collector's cars for Cars and Coffee, a Father's Day special event.

From the Cayley nearly up to the Toad, visitors and locals marvelled at the selection of cars on display and took the opportunity to take photos and videos.

A vintage Police car took the opportunity to 'chase' a Mustang up the Promenade and many rare vehicles were on display lining both sides of the Promenade which had been closed as a one-off especially for the occassion.

Cars and Coffee will return again on July 21st, August 18th and a special chequered flag event on September 15th.

There will be more treats for car fans this Sunday when the Mercedes Benz Club takes to the Llandudno promenade from 10am.

Fans of vintage cars have the opportunity display of up to one hundred Mercedes Benz Club Members’ cars with examples from the 1950s to the present day.

This event is in its second year and is held in support of the Wales Air Ambulance. The display area starts opposite the St George's Hotel and extends eastwards towards Venue Cymru.
