Police are appealing for witnesses after a 14-year-old boy was robbed as he walked along Colwyn Bay beach.

The incident happened at about 7.55pm on Tuesday 29th January on the beach between Porth Eirias and the former pier.

The teenage boy was stopped and threatened by two males before they took several items including earphones and a quantity of cash. They then walked with the victim to the old pier area before allowing him to go.

The suspects are both described as being about 5’7” tall. One was of slim build and the other was stocky. Both were wearing black jackets with the hood pulled up, and a black bandana across their mouth and nose.

DC 3087 Helen Evans said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incidents and are particularly keen to speak to a jogger who is believed to have passed the parties when they were near the former pier.”

Anyone with information relating to the incident is asked to contact DC Evans at St Asaph CID on 101 quoting reference 19100029610. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
