Once again it has been my absolute pleasure to revisit our earlier chat with Rachel, Dawn and Natasha from Conwy Mind about how they might help you overcome any issues or problems your mental health.
The Covid lockdowns and the subsequent impact on our lives has been very difficult for many of us and feeling low to the point that it becomes dominant and depressing is something that is definately worth sharing with friends and family who may be able to help with words of advice or reassurance. It's good to talk and share!
But what happens when you feel that you need additional help to overcome your feelings when they begin to dominate your life? Conwy Mind can help and it's good to know they offer their services for free to people in the Conwy area struggling at this very challenging time.

Virtual online CBT
This is a 12 week course to support all kinds of low level mental health needs, such as panic and anxiety offering an opportunity to develop awareness and coping strategies. You will receive phone call support throughout the programme.
My Generation
This has formerly run as a face to face group but a Zoom group will be running soon.
This is for people over the age of 50 years and is a 2 hour a week course for 8 weeks. It will help to reduce isolation and improve wellbeing.
If you do not know how to use Zoom, Conwy Mind can help you prior to the start of the course.
Active Monitoring
Available for people who are with GP surgeries in Conwy East. It is a 6 week programme that can help people cope better with issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Low mood, Low self esteem, Isolation, Grief and loss, Anger management.
Training
Nick, Conwy Mind's trainer, has a couple of courses which are suitable for service users with a range of mental health and wellbeing issues. Rachel talked in the interview about 5 Ways to Wellbeing. This course will help people to develop resilience to better cope when things are not going well.
Nick also delivers professional courses for organisations such as Mental Health First Aid and our Remote Working course.

There are no face to face services at the moment, but when Mind are able to, they will be offering the following services through community venues - Mobile Hubs, Coffee mornings and Training.
When safe, there will be face to face counselling available at their Abergele office (in rooms separate to the main office). For now they will be continuing telephone and online services as well as the mobile services to be able to offer people a choice to suit their needs.
