Local house builders Macbryde Homes have confirmed that they have secured planning permission to commence Phase 2 of the Bryn Y Mor housing development on Dolwen Road, Old Colwyn. Work is anticipated to start on site by the summer.

The approved plans show how 22 homes will be built to expand on the existing 76 homes on our housing development and will be comprised of a mix of two and three bedroom semi-detached homes and three and four bedroom detached properties.

Like those already built, the new homes in Old Colwyn are thought be particularly attractive to local first-time buyers, young professionals and growing families.

Four of the properties will be designated as affordable and financial contributions will be made towards local facilities.

Simon Finlay, Head of Development at Macbryde Homes, commented: “We have enjoyed significant interest across all our current and recent housing developments in North Wales and demand remains incredibly high.

"We are, therefore, delighted to now be able to move forward on extending our already popular Bryn Y Mor development.

“The extension to this existing site is fully compliant with local planning policies and will make a significant contribution to the local housing supply.”

All the new properties in Old Colwyn will all be two-stories high and have been designed to sit comfortably within the context of the local built environment.
