Never one to turn away from a quick one-liner, Ron is a massive fan of all things comedy and he's got a fair few friends in the business. Here he is with one of his heroes - the very quick witted, puntastic Tim Vine!

Ron is one of the funniest and nicest fellas you could hope to meet and he's joined Coast Community Radio and Media (CCRM) as the company's Commercial and Marketing Director. His role is to ensure the company grows contacts in the Colwyn Bay business world so we can bring in advertising and other revenue to fund our community station Bayside Radio.

He has own promotions and marketing company along with a very thick contacts book and he's in a great place to help the company grow for the good of the community. CCRM is a non-profit community interest company which has been set up to develop an entertaining and informative station for Colwyn Bay. Ronnie is the man to help us achieve our goals.

Ron also has a job with the Holyhead Ambulance Service and along with his presenting and management role on Bayside Radio, he doesn't have much time to sleep! Many people of a certain age from Glan Conwy will fondly remember a young 'Ronnie Stan' serving them in Austin's butchers many, many years ago. He loves the local community and being part of our exciting new project.

Ron lives in the back-of-beyond (all taxi drivers beware), somewhere that Sat-Navs fear to tread with his wife Lynn and his two daughters Sara-Catrin and Becca.

Jeff as you might have heard is the former Mayor of Colwyn Bay but behind the scenes we still like to refer to him as 'The Mayor' as it quickly gets the younger members of our team into line!

We're really proud to have him on board as our Director of Communities and he's tasked with ensuring that Bayside Radio truly reflects the needs of our communities in the Bay of Colwyn and that we truly serve the 30,000 people living in our borough. Jeff's remit is to ensure that the company and the station gives a positive voice to Colwyn Bay and we all celebrate living in an area of Conwy which is on the up and beginning to get it's smile and confidence back.

Jeff is an incredibly well connected chap and has helped the station grow very strong relationships with community organisations and groups such as Coleg Llandrillo amongst others. As one of the Colwyn Town Councillors for Rhos-on-Sea's Dinerth Ward he's always looking at how the radio station can help the community.

You might not know this but Jeff is also an ordained Christian Minister and attends the Penrhyn Bay Presbyterian Church. He has worked professionally in radio too including United Christian Broadcasters amongst others.

He's a proud Brummie and moved to North Wales in 1975 when he was Head Green Keeper of Llanfairfechan Golf Club. He's been married to Kath for 43 years and has 3 children and 7 grand children who all live in the area.

Pete is well known in radio circles and is the man which helped us make some sense of the massive technical challenges that lay ahead when we began talking about setting up a community radio station quite some time ago.

As we stumbled into the abyss of modern day technology and how it all worked, Pete and a few contacts we had at the BBC helped put together the awesome equipment which gets the station on-air each and every day. He worked to install some of the most cutting edge technology allowing us to make podcasts and downloads from our output in seconds and publish news stories and other content in an equally amazing turnaround time.

Pete built all the equipment we have in Playout One (the studio where all our output is engineered from) including state-of-the-art decoders which send our signal to internet streaming servers in Paris. Before this happens our two studios bounce their output via cloud servers in the USA back down to Playout One. Heaven knows how it works but it does (well most of the time).

Pete very much dislikes getting messages from the Bayside Radio Ops team late at night and takes it out on his long suffering partner James.

Lee is the authoritative voice of Bayside Radio and he's the man you hear between the songs when our presenter's aren't speaking!

We thought there would be a limit to how many different ways you can say 'Bayside Radio' but Lee is the master of the voiceover and we've counted at least 100 different variations since we've been working with him.

Lee is based in Derbyshire but thanks to the magic of the internet he delivers us our material minutes after he receives scripts from us.

Over the last 20 years he's been a radio presenter for numerous radio stations including Kerrang, Peak FM, Signal 1, The Revolution plus countless others. He's produced a vast amount of audio imaging, promos and commercials in his role as a Commercial Producer and Head of Station Sound at various radio station s across the UK and beyond.

He's got some very sexy looking and sounding equipment including an in-booth monitor, a Neumann TLM103 and a Rode NT1A microphones and Focusrite Voicemaster Pro mic pre-amp. His studio also has Audition CS6 and Ozone, Alloy and Nectar software plug-ins. Err...I think you've lost us there Lee!

Lee is married with three beautiful children, loves coffee, trees and is obsessed with the 1980's.

Also working alongside Lee in imaging and station sound is Simon Prentis and the team from S2Blue in Manchester who have mastercrafted many of our music jingles with the legendary JAM Creative Productions in California. The company is world famous for producing the world's best jingles for the world's best broadcasters including Radio 1 and Radio 2. Only the very best will do for our very discerning Colwyn Bay listeners.

My name is Leon and I am a second generation Teddy Boy, born too late for the 50s rock and roll era!

I was a 15 year old kid wanting to be a ted but feeling I missed the boat. Then upon leaving school at 16 and working in London’s West End, I found that I hadn’t missed the boat and I was in fact in the middle of a rock and roll revival and by the age of 18 I became a DJ in The Minerva in Southend on Sea.

Now a lifetime later I am still playing the rock and roll music the only difference is that you can hear me at home on your Radio, mobile phone or computer.

Join me for my ‘Leon’s Rock and Roll Heaven Radio Show’ on Bayside Radio every Thursday from 8pm until 10pm and I will take you back to the 50s to the original rock n roll era and take you through the 70s revival, and right up to the Rockin’ scene of today.

Having worked with and seen some of the best bands around it will be a true musical adventure, I will play you the best Rock n Roll, Rockabilly and Doo Wop music.

Music has always been an important part of Dilwyn’s life, from his early days as a trombonist with Llandudno Town Band in the 1960s to his years as a resident organist at local social clubs.

It was in 1974 that Dilwyn began his association with the brothers, Emyr and Elwyn. Together, they created a series of successful Welsh Cabaret Nights at the Four Oaks Restaurant in Eirias Park. In 1983, they went on to establish a company to produce programmes for S4C.

As the media industry developed in North Wales during the 1980s, Dilwyn worked as a Production Manager on several drama and documentary productions.

During this time, Dilwyn also wrote the music for several Welsh pantomimes as well as signature tunes and incidental music for various S4C productions. From 1989 to 2005, he was the resident pianist at Bodysgallen Hall Hotel.

In 1998, he became a Lecturer in Media Production at Coleg Llandrillo where he worked full-time until he retired in 2016.
