After a £1.4million project to improve reliability during extreme weather, train services on the Conwy Valley line resumed this morning.
Network Rail and Transport for Wales worked together for four weeks on infrastructure upgrades, including clearing vegetation and creating a new rail treatment.
The changes aim to prevent future disruptions caused by storms, which have previously led to over 500 days of closures in the past decade.
Engineers have also created a new safe walkway for railway workers and improved safety and infrastructure along the route to meet modern standards.
