Firefighters have been tackling separate wildfires on the LlÅ·n Peninsula and near Corwen as dry conditions continue to pose a risk across North Wales.
Crews were dealing with a fire on Rhiw Mountain near Pwllheli, on Sunday afternoon with North Wales Fire and Rescue Service reassuring local residents that firefighters are in attendance.
Rhiw Mountain lies on the southern LlÅ·n Peninsula, close to Rhiw, Aberdaron and Porth Neigwl, where the mix of open hills, heathland and rural land can make fires difficult to access and contain.
The incident comes alongside a separate fire near Gwyddelwern, close to Corwen, where crews were called to a grass and woodland fire at around 8.30pm on Saturday.
Smoke was reported across nearby communities including Glyndyfrdwy and Carrog, prompting advice for residents to keep windows and doors closed. Locals reported seeing firefighters working to contain the blaze.
The two incidents are the latest in a series of wildfire responses across North Wales this summer, highlighting the continuing risk posed by dry vegetation and countryside conditions.
Firefighters are urging people to stay away from wildfire areas, avoid open fires and disposable barbecues, and call 999 immediately if they discover a fire.
