A new dessert destination has officially opened its doors in Llandudno, bringing a boost to the town centre and creating new opportunities for local jobs and business growth.

Heavenly Desserts has launched its latest venue at the Victoria Shopping Centre on Mostyn Street, offering a menu of handcrafted artisan desserts and signature drinks, all freshly prepared on site. The stylish new addition is aimed at both residents and visitors looking for a premium sweet treat experience in one of North Wales’ busiest coastal towns.

The opening has been made possible with support from Conwy County Borough Council through its Commercial Property Development Grant. The funding forms part of the Welsh Government’s Transforming Towns initiative, which is designed to revitalise high streets and support local economies.

Council officials say the investment has helped transform the premises and bring a previously vacant or underused space back to life, contributing to a more vibrant and attractive town centre.

Sarah Ecob, Head of Economy and Culture at the council, said the opening is a strong example of how targeted funding can make a real difference. She highlighted the role such projects play in supporting business growth, creating employment opportunities and encouraging more people to visit and spend time in Llandudno.

Business owner Abdul Rehman, company director and franchisee, said the location was a perfect fit for the brand, pointing to Llandudno’s popularity as a tourist destination. He added that the support from the council had been crucial in getting the project off the ground and turning the vision into reality.

The arrival of the new venue is expected to increase footfall in the Victoria Shopping Centre and along Mostyn Street, an area that continues to benefit from wider regeneration efforts across the town.

With more people visiting Llandudno throughout the year, particularly during peak holiday periods, developments like this are seen as key to strengthening the local economy and enhancing the overall visitor experience.

The council has confirmed that applications are now open for the next round of funding through the Transforming Towns Commercial Property Development Grant and Town Centre Grant schemes, offering further opportunities for businesses to invest in the future of Conwy’s high streets.
