A 23-year-old man will be sentenced next month after admitting his involvement in a weapon-related incident in Colwyn Bay.

Kyle Jones, of no fixed address, has appeared at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court. He was charged with threatening a person with a blade / sharply pointed article in a public place.

Jones was arrested by officers on Tuesday night following reports that a male was threatening a group of youths with a machete-style knife in the Abergele Road area of Colwyn Bay.

At court, he pleaded guilty to the offence and was remanded in custody. Jones will appear for sentencing at Caernarfon Crown Court on Friday, 13 March.
