North Wales Police have received multiple reports from people who paid a deposit for a caravan being sold on Facebook which has turned out to be a scam.

The seller claimed that the caravan was in the Colwyn Bay area and once the victims paid the deposit all contact then ceased. Victims were urged to pay a deposit to secure the sale due to 'lots of interest' and then have gone on to lose their money.

When buying on Facebook don’t let a seller pressure you into buying a product, pay via Paypal (but not via friends and family) or cash on collection - not via bank transfer - and be wary of requests for large deposits.
