Young people who attend Conwy Youth Service sessions have been focussing on marking Safeguarding week which has been happening all this week.

They were asked to submit a piece of artwork around the theme of ‘What makes me feel safe’.

The works were judged by Cllr Julie Fallon, Cabinet Member for Education who is responsible for the Youth Service, Cllr Hannah Fleet and Cllr Elizabeth Roberts, Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Safeguarding.

The judges were impressed with all the entries received and chose Bella Lehart from Peulwys youth club as the overall winner. Amy Woodbridge from Kinmel Bay youth club was awarded second prize and Lily Gill who attends Kinmel Bay youth club came third.
These top three submissions will be created into digital format and displayed in various public access buildings within Conwy County Borough Council.
Safeguarding is about protecting vulnerable children and adults from abuse and neglect, and making sure people are supported to live full and happy lives. To find out more about safeguarding visit www.northwalessafeguardingboard.wales
