An enthusiastic Preparatory School footballer helped his regional side secure two impressive tournament wins recently.

Will Glanville, a Year 4 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, made an instant impact as part of the Conwy Borough U10 side, where he defied his age to turn in a series of exceptional displays to contribute to the notable double.

Despite being only eight-years-old, the pacey right-winger is gaining a reputation throughout the region thanks to his consistency, and the young Tangerines overcame opponents from North Wales, Liverpool and Manchester to emerge victorious at the high-profile Jonathan Ratliff Youth Tournament.

The in-form youth side followed this up with yet another competition win at the annual Wrexham Offa Carnival Summer Cup tournament, and Will played another huge part in Boro’ leaving with the trophy.

Team manager Matt Gilmore, said: “We conceded one goal in nine games and scored 23 times at the Wrexham Offa Carnival Summer Cup. Taking into consideration the hot weather the boys put in a fantastic performance".

This is the latest in a series of achievements across various fields for Will, who is thriving at the Prep School and has also gained accolades in fields such as Drama and Gymnastics.
