Wales seeks Conwy Veterans who have made their mark

December 11, 2018 - 1329 views

In Colwyn Bay and right across the county, we marvel at the work done in the community to support ex-forces men and women.

The work done by organisations such as the Conwy Veteran's Hub based at CVSC in Colwyn Bay, play an important and role in helping military personnel readjust and reintegrate back into our communities after years serving the country often away from friends and family.

In Wales, we have a huge number of veterans that have made the transition from the military to civilian life and the Welsh Veterans Awards have been launched to acknowledge those who have gone above and beyond and excelled in their relevant fields. The awards will pay tribute to individuals who even during the most difficult periods have excelled in their chosen field.

There are a number of different categories which acknowledge the contributions made to the worlds of business, fitness, sport and the wider community. Nominations are welcomed via the Veterans Awards website.

The awards, in association with the ABF Soldiers Charity will be held in South Wales next year.
