SkillsCymru is the largest series of free careers, jobs, skills and apprenticeship events in Wales continues again today in Llandudno.

Between the event in the North and a similar one in the South, more than 10,000 people including local school pupils and young people get involved.

At this year’s event held at Venue Cymru yesterday and today (October 16 and 17), young people can attend for free and take part in interactive features, hands-on demonstrations and challenging activities.

Both young people and their families can learn about the huge range of careers, apprenticeships and training opportunities available in Wales and catch a glimpse into what their future career pathway could look like.

Exhibitors will be on hand to demonstrate careers in key growth sectors for Wales, as well as highlighting further education and training courses to boost the job prospects of all who attend.

"We have had a superb response from the young people at this event, in the hundreds” said Eluned Evans from BBC Wales.

"Events like this give us the chance to make them aware of the wide ranging career opportunities within the media, not just presenting and reporting, but the programming that goes into the website, it's very IT oriented.”
