It began as a one-off tribute to family members who had passed, but many, many years later the Tree of Lights in Rhos-on-Sea continues to shine brightly as an annual symbol of remembrance.

At the end of November the community gathered from across the Bay of Colwyn and Conwy for the Tree of Lights switch on in its 20th year. This year the organisers have thanked the public for their support and say the event has raised a record £1466 for St. David's Hospice with many more donations expected to come in.

The event organised by the Rhos-on-Sea Rotary Club was attended by a number of local dignatries and individuals who had dedicated a light in memory of their loved ones. The tree was switched on by Bay of Colwyn Mayor Cllr Stephen Williams.
