Colwyn Bay Football club have been rocked by news that chairman and club stalwart Dave Titchiner has been forced to resign due to ongoing health issues.

He has released the following statement:

“It is with regret and great sadness that I have had to step down from being chairman, and from the board,  of Colwyn Bay Football Club because of ongoing health issues that prevent me carrying out my duties. I have tried to solider on for some time now, but it has been a struggle for the last nine months.

“It is especially disappointing after the last three of four years of ups and downs, as I believe we were starting to get things right with Alan, Craig and Neil at the helm, but unfortunately, I just can’t continue in my current role.

“I definitely believe the club is moving in the right direction and will continue to progress under this current management team.

“I’d like to thank all the directors, management team, players, clubhouse staff and club volunteers for their support over the past five years and hope you will continue to help the club moving forward.

“I’d also like to thank the supporters for sticking with the team through thick and thin – your support has been incredible.

“All the best for the future, David Titchiner”

The club directors will be meeting this week to discuss future plans.
