There is just three weeks before Colwyn Bay FC report for training ahead of a new era in the club's history and manager Craig Hogg has given the following update on his thoughts and the latest news from the dressing room:

It has been a busy few weeks for the management team and we have witnessed a great deal of change at the club with players going and new signings coming in.

I can report that Ethan Devine has now opted to leave us with a view to staying in the English system and we wish him well. Ethan did really well last season and I'm sorry to see him go.

Lassana Mendes has been invited back to Crewe Alexandra for pre-season and we hope that goes well for him.

I'm also aware that a number of football League, English non-league and Welsh Premier clubs are also tracking him.

On top of the new faces who have agreed terms with us recently, both Paddy Rutter and Jordan Carrington have now committed themselves to the Bay, and that pleases me greatly as both did well for us last season.

It will be interesting to see how everyone will gel together during the six week pre-season programme we have and I know everyone is really looking forward to reporting back on June 22nd.

Eirias Park will be our new home for training and I'm really looking forward to getting back on the grass with the backroom staff and players. The facilities at Erias are excellent and we are very fortunate to have such a good working relationship with the staff there. Session planning around the fitness and tactical targets we hope to achieve are now pretty much finalised.

We also have a number of friendly games confirmed and we hope that those games will tie in nicely to the season start date of August 3rd.

I think everyone I've spoken to recently within North Wales football circles is really looking forward to  next season. I'd go as far as saying that even at this stage, Tier 2 North could potentially be the most competitive it has been in a generation.

We are stepping into the unknown as we start our five year project and we will have a great deal to learn, especially as this will be our maiden season back in Welsh football. More than anything everyone at the club is really looking forward to that.

We are very excited to now be part of the North Wales football scene and we all fully intend to embrace it.
