Colwyn Bay FC manager Craig Hogg has committed his future to the club by tonight signing a new five year contract.

He has fully bought in to a five year plan drawn up by the club to regroup and move forward through the Welsh system.

37-year-old Hogg, who took charge of the current first team in September and looks set to guide them to a top ten finish in the Evo-stik West, is aiming to  complete his UEFA A Licence with the FAW this year.

He commented: "I'm delighted to have committed my future to Colwyn Bay Football Club and I thank the board of directors for giving me the opportunity to be manager here for the next five years.

"It is a huge personal honour to lead this great club from the dug out and it is something I will never ever take for granted".

"I would like to thank everyone connected to the Bay for supporting me since I became manager seven months ago and I hope to repay you all with success on the pitch in the years to come".

"The project that has been presented to me excites me and is something I really buy into. I'm looking forward to what the future could hold for the club".

"The road map and milestones ahead will be clearer by the end of this week, once the FAW pyramid application process has been concluded, and we await that decision with much interest".

"There will be a great deal of work to undertake and that is something I will never shy away from. I'm looking forward to playing my part in helping the club achieve what it ultimately desires".

"As a club, town and fanbase, it will be so important that we all earn the right together to take this club forward. That outlook will never ever change whilst I'm manager here and I'm looking forward to the journey ahead."

Chairman Bill Murray commented: "Myself and the board are absolutely delighted that Craig has committed to the club in the long term. It shows that he is committed to driver the club forward and I am confident that he will."

The club have draw up two five year plans dependent on which tier the FAW place them in next season, but the club have already set up a supporters committee and are looking to make further additions to the board.

Plans on playing side will become clearer once the FAW decision comes through on Friday, but the plan is to build up the Academy to bring more local players through to. The Reserve side will become an Under-23 development team as a bridge from the Academy and Under 18s to the first team.
