RGC frustrated by changes to November fixtures

October 31, 2018 - 1373 views

RGC have issued a statement showing their frustration with fellow rugby clubs and apologising to fans after two of their home games had to be moved at relatively short notice.

Due to Bedwas RFC and Llanelli RFC being unable to field teams on the agreed Friday night dates, these fixtures have now been rearranged to the following Saturdays for 11am kick offs.

Although the WRU and Premiership agreed to free up International weekends including the Autumn Series and 6 Nations, RGC have said that some teams are not prepared or unable to commit to the agreed fixture dates even though these were agreed back in the summer. RGC went on to apologise for any inconvenience caused as a result of the changes.

RGC have stated that they will adhere to the agreement and are committed to fulfilling the Friday night international weekend fixtures as agreed between the Premiership and WRU.

The rescheduled matches due to be held at Stadiwm Zip World are Bedwas Saturday 17th November at 11am and Llanelli Saturday 23rd November at 11am.
