Making The Cut: Stylists learn how to spot domestic abuse

October 29, 2020 - 805 views

As Wales continues in lockdown, North Wales Police will be providing the ‘Would you make the cut’ training once again to those who work in the hair and beauty industry.

With all those in the industry not being able to work during this period, this is a perfect opportunity to learn about domestic abuse and how you as an individual or business can help those victims who suffer it.

There are 100 available spaces on this virtual session being held today (Thursday, October 29th) between 1.30pm and 4pm, where you will hear from survivors, domestic abuse practitioners as well as learning how to spot the signs a victim is suffering domestic abuse, what advice to offer and how to signpost those in need to get support.

If you are a hairdresser, barber, beautician, provide alternative beauty therapies or attend people’s homes to provide these services, there is the open invitation to join.

This session will be completed using the Zoom platform using the link below.
