In a week of resignings, Alex Downes has followed Tom McCready in returning to Colwyn Bay FC from NPL club Runcorn Linnets.
Alex is only two games short of making his 50th appearance for the Seagulls and has been in good form in his short time at Runcorn playing as a centre back.
Colwyn Bay manager Craig Hogg commented; "It is great news for us that Alex is back at the club.
"His performances in a Bay shirt have been nothing short of brilliant and I've really enjoyed witnessing first hand how Alex has grown both as a person and a footballer since he joined us from Chester FC.
"I'm told he has been brilliant for Runcorn Linnets in the NPL and I know how much they've enjoyed working with him there.
"For me, we've re-signed one of the best young defenders in the game in Wales and if he continues to live the standards he has set himself as both a person and an athlete, then I have no doubt he will go on to achieve some very good things in the game."
