Flags line the streets of Llandudno for Armed Forces celebration

North Wales is less than an hour away from being host to one of the biggest and most prestigous events in the areas history.

The Armed Forces Day 2018 is being held Llandudno with up to 200,000 people expected to visit the town across the day. The national event paying thanks to our armed forces and veterans will be attended by the Prime Minister Theresa May, Princess Anne, local dignataries and high ranking military personnel. Flags are now lining the street and flags are flying high across the town.

The event includes beach landings and the much loved Red Arrows display team who will be taking to the sky above the town around midday. The event is expected to start at 11am from the Llandudno War Museum. In all over 1000 serving personnel, veterans, cadets and marching bands are expected to take part in the celebration.

Anyone who has visited the town will be be aware of the town's place as a tourist attraction but less well known is the important part it has played supporting the country's military in the past. After today's celebration, thousands of visitors will be no doubt about Llandudno's role.
