North Wales Police have continued to tackle the problems associated with drugs supply by executing six search warrants in the Colwyn Bay, Rhyl and St Asaph areas.

Drugs believed to be cocaine and cannabis along with other drugs paraphernalia were seized. A number of enquiries are now ongoing to further the investigations.

The warrants were executed by the Central Priority Crime Team supported by a five trainee detectives recently appointed under the Police Now Direct Entry Detective Scheme.

Detective Sergeant Dave Brennan said: “This was another good result in terms of combating County Lines related drugs offences and re-emphasising the force’s commitment towards tackling these offences.”

“Possession and distribution of controlled drugs will not be tolerated in our communities and we will continue to make determined efforts to disrupt this activity.”

DC Brennan added: “I cannot emphasise enough the importance of the community sharing their concerns with us. Our goal of targeting those who cause the most harm will continue directly targeting those involved in serious and organised crime. We are determined to keep our communities safe.”
