Hafal, a local organisation with roots in Colwyn Bay are recruiting people from all over Wales to join their team and become an 'Appropriate Adult'.
As a charity group for people with a mental illness and their carers, they are reaching out for support from individuals who feel they would be well placed to accompany vulnerable people at traumatic times such as being put under arrest and taken into custody.
They are planning two fully accredited training days in Colwyn Bay on Friday 25th January and Saturday 26th January to help individuals decide whether this is an important role that they would like to pursue.
Involvement in the project will help improve your understanding of the problems faced by vulnerable adults and empower you to offer precious assistance in stressful situations. Most importantly your oversight could help vulnerable people from becoming victims of miscarriages of justice.
